Put eight of Devon's best folk musicians together with one of Devon's most experienced callers. Add any number of happy, friendly, fun-loving people and you have the perfect recipe for a really great celebration!
The music is top quality traditional folk taken from around the UK, Ireland and America and is brought to you through an impressive line-up of melodeon, flute, two fiddles, and saxophone plus a solid foundation from rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. Our unobtrusive, quality sound system provides a good clean delivery.
If your guests have never been to an English Ceilidh (or "Barn Dance") before - don't worry: our 9pins' caller has all the experience, patience and good humour needed to encourage your guests or colleagues to join in the fun and enjoy themselves. This is not only a great way for party guests to get to know each other, but also makes for a valuable team-building experience or corporate entertainment.

...and our 'caller' is Martin Hodge. The caller is probably the most important part of a successful barn dance or ceilidh, and Martin, with his many years of experience, is guaranteed to deliver.
We are a Devon-based 'English Ceilidh' band, and are happy to travel into West Somerset or East Cornwall for which our standard fee of £895 for one or two sets (up to 1¼-hours each) would apply. For locations further afield we would need to charge extra to cover the cost and time of additional travel.
If you would like 9pins to help you celebrate your special occasion or event, please contact us via our online enquiry form.
9pins is quite a big ceilidh band. If you really need something on a smaller scale, visit Sheer Hopody Barn Dance Band whom we can recommend for smaller occassions or venues.
